- Two playable armies, each delivering distinct technology, abilities, weapons, vehicles and structures
- Combat focuses on capture, construct and destroy objectives, but remains open-ended to allow strategy and improvisation during missions

- Strategic options with deployable radar, fire support and defense turrets
Synopsis
The Strogg, a set of evil extraterrestrial entities, have descended on Earth, and now it's your duty to defeat these menacing forces before they capture your planet for keeps. On land, sea and air, they seek to fight and establish defense structures and systems that will render you and your teammates hopelessly hapless. You will have to think quickly and develop tactics and strategies to stop them dead in their tracks or face the possibility of an all-out overtaking.
QUAKE Wars combines the fast-paced action of a shooter with the skill of a strategy game to provide an amazing online gaming experience. Choose to play as two distinct armies, the Strogg or the Global Defense Forces, and use their specific abilities to your advantage. Gameplay contains a wide array of vehicles, weapons and fighter classes that allow you to assail opposing forces, and you can build experience and earn promotions to gain new capabilities that will ensure your team's victory. The open-ended format of the game allows for improvised battle sequences with over a square mile of tough terrain, all rendered with realistic graphics thanks to MegaTexture technology. | | Two Playable Armies View Image | Many Vehicles to Choose From View Image |

Reviewer: bless,
I got the game since i play a online demo, and really enjoyed it. But now after having it for some time, there real was not point to getting it... the online is the same as the game play... it just mission and really no point so far to this game. no story, no nothing, just go in and shoot. dont get me wrong its fun and all but wow talk about lack in options... But onto the shipping and company i got this from, for the game, am glad i got it for this price, and the shipping was good to. Regular shipping only took 4 day to get to me. So I was happy with that, I would do business again with this company. But the game, that I question lol.

Ok so first things first, the overall review. It is a good game but is not worth the $60 dollars i paid. I would pay $20-$30 dollars for it. It is surely not compareable with cod4 or 5.
PROS
>Online is great. It is fun for sniping or just shotguns.
> There are so many vehichle you can use which is very fun. There are 1,2,3, and 4 person vehicles. There is Atv's, Buggies, hummers, Armadilos, different sorts of tanks and different sorts of helicopters and boats.
> Lots of different sorts of maps.
> Choice to be two different speciseach with it own perks and disadvantages. There is the Strogg and the humans. For the strogg there is also lots of different futuristic guns and vehicles.
> You can choose to be different classes like medics, mechanics, snipers, field soldiers and others.
> You can build stuff like anti personel turrets or build bridges across ditches for tanks to get by.
Cons
> AI turn straight away and start shooting you even if you are 700 feet away.
> You can't customize guns.
> Can't switch controls around so there is always set controls
> Not the great of graphics
> Not as great as other gams like cod4 and 5
If you like online First person shooters you should get this. There are many different sort of gameplay.

Great game (most of the time)

It's a great game but there are unbearable load times for every single time you enter a new map you can have a lot of fun offline but it's meant to be played online with other humans, problem is when you join a match there are usually only 4 or 5 other people and the rest are A.I. controlled players. When the game works the way it was meant to It's a 5 star game but that's not the case most of the time ESPECIALLY on PS3.
Great game; online play is poor compared to Warhawk

I played a demo of this game several times and then immediately bought a copy when the price dropped. The concept is a lot of fun, but the online play lags big-time and there aren't nearly as many people playing as Warhawk. For the money, Warhawk is a much better (and faster-paced) game for mass online battles.
Not what I exspected!

I thought it was suppose to be a mission game, not a territory games of get the flag, they make you you switch sides after every battle.
